Great place! My husband and I came to the square on a "First Friday" night. We didn't think about having to make reservations at Southern Tre Steakhouse (which is where I originally wanted to go. Even Pucketts was full. We had never been here before and it was our last option. It completely exceeded our expectations. Everything from the spinach and asparagus dip appetizer to the cheesecake for the dessert was on par. They have a steak option on weekend nights. The menu says new york strip, but our server told us it was actually a bacon-wrapped filet that night. Yum! I ordered it medium rare and it was actually a little rarer than I was expecting, but that really doesn't bother me personally. My husband got a chicken wrap with a spinach tortilla and he really liked it. We will definitely be going back to try their other menu options! Also, as others have mentioned, the atmosphere is very pleasant. They had a jazz musician playing that night and that combined with the lighting and decor made me feel like I was a little Paris bistro. So fun!
The Square Market & Cafe is a laid back gem of a cafe. It's cozy and tucked into the historic square that offers entertaining people watching from the patio seating. Look for this place. Give it a try. The menu is straightforward: soups, sandwiches, salads. But, it's all made with care and attention to detail. My family of five, which includes three kids ages 6, 10, and 11, all enjoyed our meals. My salmon sandwich was delicious. The servers are sweet. The chocolate truffles are a visual delight and a special little treat to complement a well-rounded meal.
This a neat little hometown spot. The atmosphere is nice and low key. The food is great! They have pastries and the Chicken Alfredo is wonderful!
Surprisingly good food in a small-town cafe. Good portions and friendly staff. Although it's a very tight squeeze during the lunch crowd, it's worth a visit.
Nice soup and sandwich cafe that also has an expanded pasta selection. Located in historic down Columbia so the eviorment is awesome. Friendly staff. Skip the appetizers and save room for dessert. With a drink it's about 10 to 15 $ a person. It's worth it. Have had a pleasant experience everytime we went there. They also have little cute items that make gifts it just something nice to have in your home.
