Took my van there they couldn't get it fixed took them forever charge me $500 never got the job done don't know what happened to my van

Anyone looking for rude extremely unprofessional towing contact Hwy 31 Auto Repair and Towing they are 100% that. Came to drop off a vehicle to our business for someone else and left it down from us in front of another business up against their personal vehicles then proceeded to tell us they are dropping it right there and it was our problem to worry with getting it moved!!! Was very rude to my wife talked to her like a dog. Nice work guys I sure hope today was just a bad day and that u don’t treat everyone with this level of unprofessionalism.
A few weeks ago my ford E350 broke down while my girlfriend was driving it. I called these guys to tow it. I figured it was my alternator and I would fix it myself. Greg showed up to tow me and said it would be $100 to tow to my house unless I wanted him to take it to his shop. At the last second I decided to let them have a look and save me some time and effort as I was really busy that week. He told me it would be $585 for a new battery and alternator unless they needed to put a new belt. I knew it was a lot, but I justified it as saving me time and effort and helping out a small business at the same time. I came to pick it up and it was $704 because they did put a new belt on. I was charged $140 for a battery, which is fair, $160 for labor, $50 for the tow, $65 for a belt (which actually only cost $30 at a parts store), and $260 for the alternator. A hard pill to swallow considering I could have done it myself and a new alternator actually only cost $133. Then I started having electrical problems. I took a look and found that they used a cheap re manufactured in Mexico alternator and charged me $260. I replaced it myself and fixed all my problems. I went to return the alternator that they put in and I was told they don't refund on parts. I wasn't looking to get one over on anyone, all I wanted was what is fair. Money back for a part that didn't work. The way I was treated was beyond disrespectful. Greg told me they won't give him his money back for the part, so he can't give me my money back. If you own your own business, you can do whatever you want. If the place you buy your parts from will only give you a replacement part, you can still give me my money back and just keep the new part for the next customer who needs a very common ford part. At the least you could have offered me what you profited by charging me double for the crappy part. It's people like this that make it hard to trust any mechanic. I wish I had read these reviews before I agreed to let them work on my van.
This place is a disgrace they shouldn't even be open they are crooks we were told at drop off a certain price when we went to pick up the price jumped 300$ because they replaced things that we didn't say to replace they just went ahead and did it as long as I'm breathing I will never deal with these people again I live paycheck to paycheck and Barry ha the money to afford them we ha been saving for weeks to get my husband's car fixed and now we owe more people because we hadto borrow 300$ more
