Great pet store! Wonderful addition to the Columbia area. Lots of hard work goes into taking care of so many puppies and helping them find loving homes. You can tell the owner cares about the animals and wants the best for each one.
I went in a few days ago. There were 2 kids and an older teenager working the store. The puppies were all laying in their own poop, all had bloated bellies, coughing, lethargic, and runny eyes. Most appeared to be malnourished and they had no water. The workers began to tell me of all the types of dogs at home that are in heat that will be bred soon, that they would have monkeys in on Thursday and that they could get me any kind on wildlife I wanted. They had a bobcat and a fox in the store for sale which I found to be scary that they would sell those type of dangerous animals to anyone who wanted one. The store smelled so bad I couldn't stay long.. I can just imagine how the animals felt. Someone mentioned earlier about people leaving reviews and not caring about cows. Well I'm a vegan so yes I care about all animals being abused and neglected. I would dare to guess that any positive review on here would be from a friend or family member because no one could possibly go in there and think those poor animals are being cared for..,
I LOVE this petstore I bought a puppy there and me and my family love her sooo much! We will probably be getting our next one there too.
For people that don't like taxidermy, would you rather have these animals lost souls decay and go to waste, or reinvent their body in a new light for all to see. Its not like they are being murdered. If anything its a tribute to these lost creatures. I know everyone has opinions but if you're that sensitive keep it to yourself and don't go there. I personally think the store is wonderful and will be visiting often.
