****As far as the below review *** I am pretty sure the doctor was probably trying to tell you in a respectful manner that your pooch wasn't going to make it. Therefor it was best you come and pick him up as soon as possible. It is not the veterinarian' s fault that you didn't get your dog treated sooner. I am sorry for your loss.
Beware!! I took my dog for discharge that started on the weekend 4 days after having a litter of puppies. (I had her in to local vet prior to discharge starting and she had mastitis and was put on antibiotics) I was told the discharge was bacteria in her uterus and she would have to have it removed or it could be life threateningif not treated. I requested that we try whatever needed not to and shortly later she said that no matter what we tried, It would still have to be done. I pick her up the next day and she had no improvement. I took her back that night and was told it would take time. The next day I too her to another vet I knew and her white blood cell count was higher then before surgery and the mastitis had gotten worse to the point that I may have to remove puppies to bottle feed if meds don't work quick enough. By the time I got home my dog finally felt better and had improved since. Wish I would have know that discharge is normal up to 3 weeks after birth. Unfortunately my dog who I planned to breed at a later date has been fixed now. I hope this review helps someone else not go through a situation like this. Good luck.
Very sad that these doctors did not take their Oath seriously:
The Veterinary Wellness Clinic of Columbia has a very clean, friendly, organized , professional, staff. By far the best I have ever been to.
I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics. I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.
Thank you, Karen K.
Simply the Best!
First time veterinary visit, but it was the best experience that it possibly could be. The staff is so kind, gentle, and professional. Thank you guys so much!!!
Keep up the great work!
These people are great! The prices are better than my local vet and their compassion is the best. I now take my dog here instead.
Took my cat in with kidney issues. They wanted $825 since it was a holiday to help him. I couldn't pay that kind of price so had to wait until my vet opened in the morning. After my poor cat suffered all night I paid $235 at my regular vet. The Emergency Clinic is obviously taking advantage of people in their grief to rob them.
