This place is amazing! I normally avoid buffets but it was convenient. They were transitioning from breakfast to lunch so we got to try both. The breakfast offerings are extremely varied and prepared well. The lunch was the highlight though! It was possibly the best fried chicken I've had and delicious fish, roast, ribs greens, beans and those were just my favorites. The salad bar also had a wide variety of offerings including a delicious crab salad. The variety for the price (8.99) is impressive, they have some excellent cook's in the kitchen. Great place for a family meal.
I mostly get food to go, but they have great food. They will do big trays of food to go for you at Thanksgiving. Good prices. Clean place. I like the family atmosphere. Good people who own this restaurant. I hope you stay for years to come.
Well fried chicken wasn't cooked through all the way. I overlooked that as maybe just the piece I got. Waitress, Connie, was nice and very attentive to us. All was going well until. . . I went to the restroom and as I walked in a male employee came out of the back stall and didn't even look in the direction of the sink. I just about lost what I had eaten. I told the young lady at the register about what I had seen. She didn't seem terribly concerned about it. She just said She would handle it. As for me and mine, we won't be back. There is no excuse for poor hygiene. Two stars only because the waitress was so good.
Always friendly helpful staff. Great comfort food in the mid-state. Awesome home cooked meals like Grandma makes with great desserts. I love their tea too.
The first 4-5 times of coming here for the crab legs, it was great, didn’t pay much attention to the buffet as we just snacked on it until the crab legs came out. However, me and my fiancé both got very sick after leaving here one night, we thought we just caught a bug and never thought about it, so we return back about 2 weeks later, both got sick again! Turns out the crab legs are bad, we both noticed an ammonia smell to them both times we got sick. But we Didn’t know that they were bad. Don’t get the crab legs, now we know why they are such a good price here.
