In my years I find Pucketts very friendly and home warming environmental with great food for a reasonable price. A great night out.
Food is not worth the price. I ordered the half rack of ribs with beans and mac n cheese around 4pm on a Sunday. A 20$ plate of ribs that was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. The mac n cheese tasted and had the consistency of being under a heat lamp way too long. The 2 stars would've been less vut the waitress was really good.
My husband and I used to come to Pucketts twice a week. Almost every time the food was very good and affordable. We haven't been to Pucketts in quite some time, but decided to go this afternoon. I ordered one piece of catfish & it was so greasy I couldn't eat it. My husband had the fried green tomato BLT and the fried tomato was cold, and very greasy. We spoke with the waitress about the catfish & the sandwich. We weren't offered another piece of fish or something else from the menu. With that being said, I had 2 beers & my husband had a small cobbler.
The Puckett's in Columbia has been one of our favorite places to eat ever since we moved here. Down home cooking, BBQ, and they serve Muletown Coffee. Friendly local spot with live music on the weekends, open three meals a day. Ideal for business breakfast or lunch, a low-key date, or reconnecting with an old friend.
I've only been here once, but the food was really good and the live music was excellent. The ice cream was recommended and I'll back that recommendation. Next time I go I'll bring family from out of town to enjoy it as well. (It was a bit loud on my visit, so don't plan on hearing the people at the end of your table if you have a large group.)
Our bill with a modest tip came to $60.21. This was our dinner and we came home hungry. If your prices must be so high, then the food needs to be worth that price! If you can't do that, then at least offer a discount or something else off your menu!!!
